August 2019 Lavish Bath Box

11/5/2019

So I'm quite behind. I've been de-cluttering and organizing around my house. In the mess I created through the process...I lost my camera. It's a decently sized digital camera so that was disconcerting. I finally found it though (obviously) so that's a small win from my own misfortune.

August (yes...three months behind) Lavish box is so cute. The theme was "Candy Shoppe" with the Canterbury Tales spelling. From the box, I've only used one item (one of the bath bombs) so I cannot talk about the usage of the products but I've yet to be disappointed from a Lavish Box so I feel the trust can see me through.

Every monthly box includes a card with a description of the items (with scents and main ingredients), information of the shop/creator that made them (including social media, shop website) and a code for a discount if available.

Lavish's social media is listed on the bottom along with the hashtag of the monthly unboxing. I'm apparently too basic and just resort to the basic hashtag of "lavish bath box" so that's on me.

There are seven items in the box, with two of the items being different colors.

From the top, left to right:

  1. Nature's Whimsey's Yummy Gummy Bath Drops - These are inspired by the Candy Crush game. The scent is mixed fruit and candy. I haven't used these so I can't talk about them at all but they look like they'd really give some color to the bath. These are not available on the website but they have other 'flavors.'
  2. Sugar + Spruce's Fairy Floss Lip Scrub - I'm fairly loaded with lip scrubs at the moment so it might be some time before I even get to these. It's huge (bigger than any lip scrub I've ever gotten!) but I might give it away so it gets used before it goes bad. The lip scrub is available, along with other scents/colors on their website as of today.
  3. Sweet 4 Fuel's Blue/Purple/Pink I Want Candy Bath Bombs - scented with sour patch kids, vanilla, citrus and berry notes. I have used one of these (the other one) and I didn't notice the scent but that's probably for the best. Most times scents bug me. This means that the scent itself was not overpowering and more subtle. I did not see these on her shop, but she had a really cute Halloween collection of bath bombs.
  4. Crescent City Swoon's Gummy Bear Bath Bomb - there were other colors (I saw blues and greens) and I received the orange one. This is a quite large bath bomb and it's super cute. The scent is grape and watermelon. I did not see the bath bomb on there, but I did find a Sugar Bear bath bomb that is similar. They have different types of bath bombs. While I haven't used this one, I have had things from Crescent City Swoon before (they're based in New Orleans!) and I have liked them.

  1. Whipped Up Wonderful's Bath Rock Candy - This is a bath salt on a stick. There are a variety of colors and scents. I know I didn't get the lemon (as I think it's the yellow one) or the strawberry (pink) so it's either the coconut or black raspberry vanilla. The website has a bunch of flavors on its site.
  2. Redfern's Bath Treats' Sweet Treat Bubble Bars - This is the only bubble bar in the bath. It's so cute (and I took a more zoomed in photo below). We've received Redfern's stuff before in the boxes and they're really nice. I didn't find them on the website but she does restocks of items every few months.
  3. Sweet 4 Fuel's I Want Candy Bath Bomb is the red/pink/orange - I have used this one. It had lovely color, subtle scent and lasted awhile before fully dissolving.

This box is sold out on their website (it has been three months though) but as of today, there is one item still available for sale. One is the Fairy Floss Lip Scrub by Sugar + Spruce.

Lavish has some items from July, September and October 2019.

Lavish's subscription costs $39 (plus shipping) a month. This is a good deal for me as I take multiple bubble baths and at the moment I tend to get all my items from them. You can get one off boxes or items as needed from their online shop.

Their social media, like Instagram, has all their future products and themes if you want to keep up.
