Papergang: May and November 2021

Papergang is a UK subscription, so I don't get it at the same time as people in the UK and Europe do. This isn't a big deal to me, but I suppose it's worth mentioning because half the time I don't know what the month is because they don't number/label it that way.

Postmark'd: June 2021

I ~think~ I have almost all my photos uploaded, edited and done. It made sense to break them up with June by itself. Unless I find more. Ugh. The weather has been killing me so I'm so much slower than I normally am.

I've done zero laundry. I'm about to go about my life in a housecoat if this continues. Hopefully I'll catch up this weekend.

This was one of the most colorful Postmark'd boxes. It was super cute! It was rainbow themed! I love rainbows just for how pretty they are.

The Book drop: January 2022

I'm in 2022 now! I'll probably play catch up again and hopefully be set by mid-May. I'm a little behind on my letters for the pen pal exchange too. A whole bunch came at one time which is fantastic but I'm really only to do about one a day in return.

January 2021 was a "Books for Elixer" pick, which means it was a fantasy genre pick. Every other month is fantasy, and the rest of the time is romance. I've hit quite a few fantasy posts in a row.

Postmark'd Studio: April 2021

April's theme was a cowboy type themed. It had one of the coolest postcards I've ever seen.

Postmark'd is a subscription for mail and stamps. There's always a monthly theme. It's one of my favorite ways to get cards (although now my local indie is stocking some, so that's a relief).

I think this is the last 2021 box for Postmark'd. I think. So after half of 2022, I've caught up? I bet I'll find more stuff later. That's on me. Here we go!

November 2021: "Cooking with love"

it's wrapped like butcher paper (or sometimes how they do specialty bread). Oh gosh, how cute!

"Me-Time Magic"

I've really got to get my photos together. Like, maybe do a full 2021 catch up in one post? Might as well. I've been on a total book reading streak in between friend catchups so I've done zero photo editing.

Lavish Bath Box: Winter 2021

I pretty much get all my bath supplies from Lavish. It's just easier. Plus, any leftover items make fabulous gifts.

Well, I'm only one...or two boxes late here. I'm still going to blame Putin. Fucker.

Chronicle Book Box February 2021

I spent all of yesterday re-organizing my skincare tower. Tower makes it seem like a huge deal. It's a small little multi-drawer unit. It's small, I swear! It's just tall. I organized it the exact same. Total waste of my time but my brain likes it.

My Chronicle Book Box is my UK book subscription box. I picked the quarterly option and the mystery/thriller genre. It's really a brilliant box. There are three books, newly released included. Plus, some little goodies that tend to be quite thrilling to my eye. I've gotten "goodies" from other boxes that are crap or just filler.

They are a UK box. I do pay more for shipping but it's worth it for me. Just something to note.

The Book Drop February 2021

For the Book Drop in February, I received a romance option. I have the mix of romance and fantasy, so they switch off depending on the month. I'm behind in my reading from subscription boxes so I haven't yet read this title.

The book drop is my monthly book subscription (I also get a quarterly one from the UK). I enjoy it because my taste is different than The Book Drop's taste/selection, so I get to try new authors. Which I need help with as I tend to read the same authors over and over (no complaints...I just end up in the mystery section every time).

Macy's November 2021 Beauty Box: YSL Edition

Read Now

November isn't as bad as last May. I'm getting closer. Sorta!

Macy's is my only beauty box that I get. I stay subscribed because sometimes their waitlist is impossible. I tend to have more hits than misses with the box. Only giving away a few things. This month's theme was Yves Saint Laurent. I like YSL makeup, although it can be on the higher end. I also have some of their fragrances, so I was quite excited for this box.

I believe this is the second brand take over, with the first being Jo Malone. I like these high-end takeovers. The bag even matches! It's a brown/purple (almost eggplant?) YSL bag.

Postmark'd May 2021

Oh gosh. May 2021? The Pandemic really wrecked me didn't it?

Well, I mean it did. I stayed on my couch for most of it and binged true crime shows. Uuuggghhh....

Postmark'd is a card subscription service that I desperately need. I don't really have a nice shop for that stuff where I live. It's a bit of a bummer. Lots of monogram places...but my monogram isn't thrilling. Anyways, May 2021 had a lovely spring theme.

The PaperGang Box : Box No. 59

Isn't this stunning? Papergang has been doing a lot of geomatic themes, but they went back to a more romantic theme with this month. It's lovely. I really enjoyed No. 59, which I'm guessing might be February 2021...oh gosh. That's way behind on my end. A whole year. Surely not. Am I that behind?? I'm going to go with I just missed this one. Yup. Sure.

The desktop or mobile background is here on their blog. I don't download all their backgrounds, but I did with this one. I love the romantic aspect of the work.

Papergang site: This is for sale in their online shop if you just want this box. It's called the Blushed Blossom Box and is about $26. It includes all that's in the box below:
  • A5 Notepad - 85 Sheets
  • 1 x Gift Wrap Sheet
  • Ballpoint pen
  • Scissors
  • Brass 20cm Ruler

Am I behind? Perpetually! But I'll get there. Eventually. Maybe...

This was one of my favorites from Postmark'd. I ended up getting more stationery from one brand and framing the card from another. Yup!! I write a lot of letters, so I love this subscription box. It's dead useful!

I have no idea what month this is. (Google says: June?) I get my box late since it's shipping from overseas. I'm not worried about that, but this is at least a summer box. As always, Papergang has online goodies for the box. This is the wallpaper fort the month.

I believe the box is still available for purchase on the Ohh Deer website. It's $26 U.S. Dollars.

There are five item categories included. There's a notepad, greeting cards, stamps, gel pens, and sticker sheets.

The Book Drop: June 2021

I'm still behind on reading the books I get when I receive them. June's book is up on my TBR, so I'll be able to get to this one soon. I think this is the first of the unread Book Drop books. So, I'm a few months behind here.

I switched to a mix of romance/friendships and fantasy. June is the romance/friendship...but I'm assuming it's straight romance from the cover.

Papergang #61 (April)

Read Now

I'm pretty sure this is April...at least, that's what I wrote on the booklet. One of the Papergang boxes is held up in the UK (shipping issues). I always get these late being as I live on the other side of the pond, so I wasn't totally panicked about it. I'm 95% positive this is April's box.

This box is from stationery company Ohh Deer. We've had a few straight months of geometric designs, I wonder if they're "in" artistically. I'm not really en vogue with the contemporary art market. Anyways, I do love stationery and other office supply type things, so this box makes me happy usually. Sometimes...if I don't love items, I send them as a gift to my penpals. Does that make me look good or bad? Hmm...

Macy's Beauty Box, June 2021: Expert's CHoice

Read Now

Am I catching up? Sorta! I need to charge my camera to take more photos (of books and boxes) but I need to clean my kitchen more. There are shades of importance!

Luckily, I'm home for the next few weeks (working from) since there's a bit of a Covid-19 outbreak in town. It comes in waves and I'm just trying to stay away from it all. Usually when I wake up with a migraine, my first thought is: "Oh god...it's the 'rona!" It's always a migraine.

Anyways, this month's box is called "Expert's Choice" and is meant to be the 'crème de la crème.' I thought the choices were quite lovely and I kept all of them. There was not a bag this month, but there was a "beauty item" included.

There is usually a $5 or $10 off the next beauty purchase. This one was $10 off the next $40+ beauty purchase between 5/28 and 7/30.

Macy's April 2021 Beauty Box: Red Carpet Inspiration

This might be one of my favorite Macy's boxes. It had quite a few luxe items and items that I always need more of.

There were seven items and a makeup bag. There isn't always a bag (sometimes there's little items like pill containers, mirrors, or rollers). The bag is a nice quality. I've kept it aside for Christmas present wrapping. Does that make any sense? I thought it would look festive in that manner.

There's always a booklet that talks about the products, which is nice. The card with a percentage off is always attached to the back of the booklet. This month's theme is "Red Carpet Insp."

Macy's May Beauty Box Unboxing: Complexion Perfection

Picture
Macy's Beauty Box is my only "beauty" subscription box. If we don't count bath products. I've had it for maybe two years now and I probably won't pause or get off it anytime soon since the waitlist seems to be random on who gets on and who doesn't. Also, I do really like it.

Anyways, this month's box is about complexion products. I received six products and this pretty pink makeup bag. I don't keep every bag Macy's sends, but I kept this one. The bag has a gold zipper.

I kept every product from this month to try out. They were all new (except for one product). That being said...I still haven't used them. I know. I know. So behind!
