9/18/2020 0 Comments Fri-Yay #12I'm missing about one third of my hurricane supplies. I'm not too worried about myself in general for any storms. I have migraine food, migraine medicine and books to read. I do miss the ice packs when the power goes out for longer than a day. I'm going to have to refill my supplies regardless. I've tried out some complete flops in the recipe department. I don't think my taste is so outrageous but all the dishes turned out really bland. It's a bit of a disappointment. One was so bad I ended up ordering a last minute pizza. The good news is that I'm going through all these cookbooks and random cuttings and getting rid of the bad ones. This last attempt was a quiche that was...dull. Everyone else liked it but I thought it needed so much more. |

I am the MOST excited about Miss Scarlet and the Duke. On Masterpiece. Eventually. When they feel like it.
I'm not impatient at all.
Reading:
I started Black Skies by Arnaldur Indridson. I've already messed up as it's the eighth book and I've read none of the first few. I think it might matter more than I hope. The series is set in Iceland, so I guess I should start with the first book.
I'm a tiny slump with my reading but I have reached my reading goal this year. I had planned to read 230 books and I've read 240. I think at this rate I might get a few more out. So that's exciting.

Listening:
The Casefile podcast. I guess I just want to hear about murder. It's been that type of week. It's hosted by an Australian man who discusses murder and mystery cases. I like that isn't not American-centric (I mean, he is Australian) and so I get to hear about other things. It can be a rough go depending on the episode. The min-series he did on EAR/ONS/GSK was scary...but that's because that man is scary.
