Lavish Bath Box: December 2020

5/5/2021

This is the last monthly box from Lavish. They moved to the quarterly model after this (I have received my first quarterly box, which was a success). I shall miss my monthly box of course, but I'm sure it's a total pain to get it all packed up every month.

The monthly box has about six items, which are often available at the website shop (if you want doubles). I'll see if I can find them in the shop, they might not be available after all this time. The card also tells what shops created the items, with the website address. So I'll link that too.

Lavish's website has a large selection of bath bombs, which I really like (amongst other things) but I've found some great indie bath bomb makers through them and that's kept me quite supplied.

The theme for this month is "Snow Kissed." I love a good theme.

The first two items are the large solids.

(L) Let It Snow Bath Bomb by Rock and Oil: The Puns! Love it. I love bath bombs. I use one per bath, sometimes two. I can't get to Rock and Oils website (it says it won't be online until the day after I write this, so...I can't say much there (other than I love the Rock and Oil name because I think it's a pun of Rock and Roll. If it isn't then I'm going to pretend it is). It's quite a large bath bomb and is scented cashmere and clean cotton. I didn't smell a huge scent when I used it but my nose is not really that advanced. It turned the water a beautiful blue color. Overall, a great bath bomb. Sadly, I can't link to their website and Lavish does not have this for sale.

(R) Ice Queen Handcrafted Soap Bar by Luna Silk Beauty:  I haven't used this one as of yet. I'm afraid to admit that I mostly just put my soap bars in a Korean exfoliating mitt (Italy cloths) and then let it mush down while I use it. And...I also smush all the soap together. I'm a savage. The scent is minty wintergreen and I do love mint so I'll save this until it's time to join the smush. It's not available on Lavish's website but it is on Luna's website.

Next up are these three items:

Top Left: Birch Tub Truffle by Rinse Bath and Body: I think Rinse Bath and Body is a more recent repeat, but it might be a first seen since I haven't caught up. This truffle is a fizzle with cocoa, which can make a tub slippery but also makes your body more moisturized. The scent is birch...which I don't think I really can remember what that smells like. I like new things, so that's exciting. Lavish doesn't have Rinse melts, but does have other Rinse products and other melts. Rinse has this on their website for sale.

Top Right: Christmas Cookie Lip Scrub by Parlo Cosmetics: I gave this away to a friend around Christmas. She likes sugar cookies (the scent) and I have some lip scrub backups. I think Parlo might be new to the Box as they're not ringing any bells. It's not on the Lavish website. Parlo might have closed (or opening?), it's a little murky but I assume closing from the message written on their website. It's a large tub.

Bottom: Clean Slate Facial Mask by Dirty Bag Beauty: We've had Dirt Bag Beauty before and I do like them. The turmeric one they sent once turned my face orange (presidential!) but the others have been non-shapeshifting. The mask is for "maskne" and is meant to be pore-cleansing. The packet includes a dry powder, once mixed with water it forms a  paste. The Lavish website has a multi-pack available and the Dirty Bag Beauty website has single use (plus) available.

The last two products:

(L): Snow Angel Body Wash by Dirty Girl Farm. I haven't used this yet, I'm a tiny bit backlogged because I got some of this mint body wash (I love mint) and it's in a HUGE bottle. Anyways, the card says it's quite concentrated so only a little is needed to create a lather. Scent is described as "fresh as fallen snow,"  which is not a scent I smell a lot of at this super hot beach but I appreciate the thought! I guess "fresh" is a near cousin. On the Dirty Girl Farm website and on Lavish website.

(R): Chill Baby Hand and Body Lotion by Nature's Whimsey. Nature's Whimsy is a reoccurring company for Lavish, so while I haven't used this one yet, I have used their products before and I do enjoy them. The scent of this is green apple, pineapple, melon, cherry pie and vanilla. So a bit fruity and fresh. At the moment, Nature's Whimsey is taking a break and Lavish doesn't have any lotions by them, so no extra links for shopping.

The last little item wasn't part of the box, it's the overview of the new subscription roll outs. It outlines the 2021 quarterly model with the seasonal and annual membership option.
