Lavish Bath Box May 2020

I'm behind on Lavish I believe (by a few months) but that's a quick fix.

I also got news on the Macy's Beauty Box! It will resume in October (ish? September) and the first box back will be the Jo Malone box. There's a wait-list currently (see link above) in order to join. I don't know if you get on the wait-list, you'll get the Jo Malone box or not.

Back to Lavish. This was the May monthly box. Lavish Bath Box is a monthly subscription that features indie bath products. I do the month to month (it's automatic) and it's about 38 USD. They do ship internationally (I'd read the FAQ first to get an idea on shipping prices).

Lavish is also how I find other indie bath companies (usually on Etsy, sometimes their own site) to supplement my bubble bath hobby.

The theme of May was "stay-cation,"  which was apropos for the Covid-19 situation.
I took another pic in low light because the cards included are on shiny paper (which is nice) but my camera loves a glare.

There's usually six products minimum (sometimes seven) in every box. There's always at least one bath bomb (sometimes two), one bubble bar, a body scrub or soap, and then a mix of lotion, oil, hair mist, candles, bath melts, etc.

There are a few items left in the Lavish shop for this box so I'll link to them there. I've used three of the items from the box so I can talk about the usage for just those.

***Hopefully all the links are correct. I'm fighting a migraine coming on and the symptoms are already starting. Stupid hurricanes. ***

The items included are:

Top Row (left to right):

Quarantina-Rita Bath Dust by Sweet4Fuel: This is available in the shop and it's one of the products that I've used. I liked it (actually used it during a de-stress situation whilst trying a few new authors. It gave the water an opaque quality and had a faint citrus smell. This shop is also a repeat customer of Lavish and they've always had good items included.

Tropic Like It's Hot Bubble Bar by Felicia's Bath and Body: This was concern about this one because the were showing up broken. Mine arrived broken as well but since they just get crumbled into the bath it really wasn't a big deal to me at all. I have used this (all in one go) and it produced copious bubbles. There was a yellow colorant that comes out to help color the bath water (but not stain the tub). I believe Felicia has been in a box before, so another repeat.

Caribbean Paradise Candle by Baitx Made: This is available in the shop with multiple sizes and scent options. I haven't used this as of yet although I would say the scent of it is very tropical. The notes mentioned in the included card were coconut, pineapple, rum, tangerine, banana, and melon. I believe this is the "Caribbean Paradise" option via the choices. I do love receiving candles because I have them on at night when I'm reading (or occasionally when I'm cooking). I don't really take them in my bathroom as it's small and there's not a  lot of tub lip space.

Bottom Row (left to right):

Triple Butter Rosette Soap by Zeep: This is available in the Lavish shop still. I have not used this soap yet but I can affirm that it is as stunning in real life as it is in the pictures. If I use soap in the shower (in bar form) I put it in one of those Korean exfoliating cloths but this is almost too pretty to do that too.

Beach House Luxe Body Oil by Bomb Diggy Bath: I think this is a repeat shop but I'm not sure. This oil is purty. I haven't used it yet as I'm still using up the stuff I got while I was visiting peeps in London (before the coronavirus happened). I'm fond of body butter the most but oils have been good too. I would not put this (or any oil) on in my shower, it's slippery as hell!.

Reflections Bath Bomb by Fo Shizzle My Fizzle: This shop has definitely been in Lavish before (and I've ordered from them independently). The name is memorable. I have used this all up. It's a large bath bomb that turns the water quite opaque. I'm not sure if I've uploaded the picture on my insta yet, but I try to use my bath bombs when I do book pics from the tub (it makes sense!) so you might be able to see how it colors out. Anyways, this was beautiful.
