Lavish Bath Box Spring 2021 Unboxing

6/30/2021

This is late on my end. But I'm almost caught up. Mostly. Anyways. This is the first box of the Lavish Bath Box seasonal boxes.

There are ten full size items in the box (it was heavy!). The first item (not one of the 10) is actually the pamphlet included which has descriptions of the product and the shops included. I like things like this personally.

The first two items are:

  • The Uniducky Bath Bomb from Bubble Bath Co.: I received the dark blue ducky. We've received little duckies before from Lavish (a mascot for the company, I believe). The bath bomb has notes of lemon, sweet orange, aloe, eucalyptus, sea greens, and beach wood. A very ocean scented bomb. The bath bomb is available at Lavish.
  • Cornelia Street Whipped Soap from Zeep: This is a large tub of soap. I like the whipped soap but I do find that it can be strongly scented. So it's nice to have a scent that I like as I use it. This one is scented with mandarin orange, sweet tropical fruits, fresh blooming orchid, and vanilla. The soap is blended with coconut oil for moisture. The brochure notes that this can be used as a shaving soap as well. The soap is available (in multiple scents) at Lavish.

There is a feature on Zeep in the back of the brochure. They note the handmade and cruelty-free aspect of the product (a plus!). Zeep is the Dutch word for "soap," which explains the name of the company. There is a nod to a Taylor Swift song (I'm not familiar with Tay's oeuvre). Zeep has been in past boxes and is always lovely to receive.

The next two items are:
  • Bath Truffle by Willow Bella: This is a truffle scented with earl grey and lavender. The truffle has softening butters and oils to help soften skin. I haven't used this one yet, but I have used Willow Bella before and I do love them (there are a lot of favorite, repeat companies in this box). It is available, as well as other scents, at Lavish.
  • Foaming Hand Soap Dispenser + Mint Julep Concentrate by Ambrosia Soap Co.: This is my second soap from Ambrosia. The first one was a blackberry (?) scented one but this one is a mint julep. Which is my favorite drink, which isn't important, but I was excited for the scent. I love mint. I will note that I found the scent strong (so it's probably medium?) but still nice. This is meant to be recyclable and refillable. Prefilled, empty, and concentrates are all available on the Lavish website, in multiple scents and designs.

There was a feature story on Ambrosia Soap Co. and the scent used. The soap is eco-conscious and cruelty-free, as well as handmade. The Mint Julep concentrate has lime, bergamot, and mint scents. It also uses sunflower and coconut oils for sensitive skin. I don't have sensitive skin, so I can't talk to that, but I don't find the soap drying, so it's ph isn't bothering me.

The concentrate goes into the dispenser, and then water is added to the top. I use the blackberry one in my guest bathroom because it is nice. It does come with a dispenser; mine was buried and I missed it the first go 'round.

The next two items:
  • Whipped Sugar Scrub by Mod Bath and Body: I shift between sugar scrubs and Italy cloths. I'm not sure if they have another name...but they're abrasive cloths for scrubbing the skin. Mod Both has been is several times (including for the nicest smelling scrub "Hi Honey"). The scrub is created with a fine grain sugar. The scents are elderflower and quince. I don't think I have any idea why quince smells like. Citrus? Lemons? It's not coming to me. Mod Sugar Scrub is available at Lavish.
  • Spring Flower Bath Bomb by Moons Harvest: This is another huge bath bomb. It also has a really stunning, yet subtle, color pattern. There is gold shimmer dusted on top. The scent is a mix of juicy fruit. Lavish doesn't have this one on their website, but they do have a lot of other cute bath bombs from Moons Harvest.

There was a feature with Mod Bath and Body. The products are handmade, cruelty free, and plant based. The feature was six questions with the owner, which is always interesting to read.

The next two items:
  • Refreshing Complex Bath Salt Soak by Three Sisters Apothecary by Soap Cauldron: The recommendation pour is two (2) oz. Which is good to know...I tend to pour huge amounts in at one go. Whoops. The scents are Meyer lemon and agave nectar, as well as lemon balm and goldenseal hydrate. There are mineral rich ocean and epson salts included. Many scents are available at Lavish.
  • Hand-Crocheted Cleansing Cloth by Lavish Bath Box/Grandma D: This is a 100% cotton hand crocheted cleansing cloth. That's a lot of work! I received the green colorway. I took a close up of the stitch work so you can see the pattern. It looks interwoven doesn't it! It's called the "Spa Pattern" although they have another pattern available at Lavish too.

The last two items:
  • Bathhouse Couture Bar Soap by Bathhouse Soapery: I didn't unwrap this yet...I actually put my soap bars (and remnants) into the Italy cloths  to create soap while I scrub. The picture shows a beautiful marble colorway. The scents are wild berries, orange citrus, and white florals, vanilla caramel, and praline. This isn't on Lavish's website sadly.
  • Nourishing Lip Balm by Poppy & Pout: I have used this one entirely. It's in a cardboard tube. It's made with ethically sourced beeswax, organic coconut and sunflower oil. There were several "flavors" available and I received a sweet mint. There is also vitamin E and essential oils. This, and other flavors, is available at Lavish.

We also received the codes for certain shops.

Overall, this was a lovely box. I'm a huge bath bomb person, so I would have preferred more of those, but I'll take anything.

Our next box is in the summer, so I should just be out of everything by then.
