october 2020 Lavish Bath Box Unboxing

I know, I know. So late. I feel like it's a reoccurring theme of my life being in chaos (or at least, my office) so I'm behind. It's really because I can't decide on a layout or organizational method that works for me.

I finally have my TBR pile slightly under control. It doesn't look like it because it's so large, but I'm making huge amounts of progress. I'm in the middle of a project though, so everything else is just piled in a thematic way whilst I plow through it.

Right, the box then. This was such a fun box (and I've used most of it). Since it was October, the theme matched the fun season. It was "witchcraft and wizardry." The card featured a cauldron, broomstick, witch's hat, potions and all sorts of books. Super cute. I actually don't know who designs these cards but they do such a lovely job.

I don't know if I've mentioned this, but Lavish is changing up their model and going quarterly. Mostly because every box I like does this to me (ok, ok, that's not the reason). I've signed up for the new quarterly model but I don't know how they're going to play it as they haven't shipped anything my way yet. I have seen some sneak peaks and it looked good. I'm excited!

That's not the best picture. Sometimes I'm really rubbish with the light (usually migraine related). I have another but it's blurry. Sorry about that. We received two large bath bombs and one smaller bath truffle (is that a mini-bath bomb?) with some different type items than normal. It was one of my favorite boxes of the year. Which I feel like I say a lot but still.

Products top to bottom, left to right:

  • Dead Sea Salt Scrub by Dragon Oil's: I haven't used this yet. I'm a tiny bit backed up with body scrubs. This is inspired by Sabrina and each scent was different. So I can't say too much about this as of yet.
  • Madame Trelawney's Prophecy Tea by Savage Fish Suds: I also can't say anything about this. Not because I haven't used it. It was stolen shamelessly by a sibling. I assume they enjoyed it because they have been unrepentant. These little bags go in the water for a soak. The scent was coconut water, chamomile tea, wild lily, tonka bean, and red hibiscus. Which sounded lovely.

  • Divination Bath Oil by Mama Bass: Mama Bass is in the process of opening their shop I think. I know they're on facebook but eh. The scent is a mix of tea, cakes, smoky incense, and amber. I put this in my bubble bath but FYI, oils can make the tub slippery so just be careful there. I like them.
  • I Smell Children Bath Truffle by Willow Bella: A Hocus Pocus theme! I love that movie. I guess truffles are a bit more like oils? The scent is a mix of cotton candy, berries, lily of the valley, fig leaves, soft vanilla, amber, and musk. Lavish has other bath truffles by Willow Bella in their shop, since Willow Bella is currently moving and has temporarily closed their online store. I have used this one and I do love it.

  • Lunar Cat Bath Bomb by JoJo Beans: Not affiliated with Hocus Pocus exactly (I'm going to pretend it is exclusively), this bath bomb is shaped like a cat. The scent is nectar, floral, vanilla, and honey. It was a light scent and whilst the color is quite dark, it had some lighter (pink and green if I remember) shots within.
  • Boooook Bath Bomb by Sweet4Fuel: Totally a Hocus Pocus inspired bath bomb! The scent was fruit, white musk, cedar, and cactus blossom. It was also lightly scented for me. The color stayed quite dark. I mixed the two bath bombs so my tub was a really dark black-blue/purple when it was done. This shop has appeared a few times in Lavish boxes and they're always hits. Really lovely.

Front of the bath bombs and truffle. The book is hand-painted. The cat has purple eyes. The truffle has purple icing.
Tea tubs opened. The box held two bags. Smelled divine.
