I'm pretty sure this is April...at least, that's what I wrote on the booklet. One of the Papergang boxes is held up in the UK (shipping issues). I always get these late being as I live on the other side of the pond, so I wasn't totally panicked about it. I'm 95% positive this is April's box. This box is from stationery company Ohh Deer. We've had a few straight months of geometric designs, I wonder if they're "in" artistically. I'm not really en vogue with the contemporary art market. Anyways, I do love stationery and other office supply type things, so this box makes me happy usually. Sometimes...if I don't love items, I send them as a gift to my penpals. Does that make me look good or bad? Hmm... The box was designed by Jamie Mitchell, who works for Ohh Deer and works with the Artful subscription box they run. The other side of the brochure talks about the organization Acting For Others. This is a UK charity that provides financial and emotional support to all theatre workers, especially during Covid-19. Dame Judy Dench is the president of the organization and Phoebe Waller-Bridge is Vice-President. Some of the proceeds of this box will go to the organization. Look at me (barely) supporting the theatre in the UK! It also took me way too long to realize that the photo below shows a Judy Dench cut out...I couldn't figure out why she was so flat looking. Ha! The interview in the part above is from Fleabag (Waller-Bridge's show) producer and Acting for Others ambassador Francesca Moody. There's a video interview on thee Ohh Deer blog page, as well as answers to the quiz included in the booklet. (it's A, B, A, B, B...if you don't want to watch the video). The contents of the box are:
I've used all three items here. The washi tape is quite sturdy. Sometimes I use washi tape to decorate envelopes, and sometimes it's so flimsy and un-sticky that I have to tape it with scotch tape...not here though! The stick note designs match the envelopes, you can sort of see the delineation of the designs on the side of the pad in the photo below. I don't think the sticky aspect here is as good as the washi tape. The paper is sturdy though and I've just used them knowing that they won't stick. I'm not going to cry about it. The pens. Ah, back to the Lisa Frank glory days of my childhood! My total adult self is loving the super fun colors. I adore these pens and use them at my desk. Mostly to notes to myself as they are so "unprofessional" for office work. So...just for me. I have a few stencils, mostly plastic and heavy cardboard. I prefer the metal ones though...they last forever! There's a lot of use with these shapes, so that's quite nice to have. I'm not too picky...the last stencil I bought was a Hocus Pocus themed stencil. I love Halloween and I'm totally gearing up for it. The envelopes and writing pad have different designs. The writing paper is different colored and lightly lined. There are also four sets of envelopes, with fun sayings on the front and a small writing/address space on the other side. I'm always in need of more envelopes and writing tablets. I'm made a huge dent in my stash, so this was greatly appreciated!
