I've got to configure my news settings. I was looking at different stocks so my news aggro decided I was desperate for news on Disney parks re-openings (I am not). One piece of news was that they're getting to redesign splash mountain. Apparently the theme was "Song of the South" which was news to me. I've never seen that particular Disney movie (and I'd assume they'd prefer no one see it but I digress). The new theme will be The Princess and the Frog theme (with Tiana). I welcome this for a variety of reasons, getting rid of the tie-in to the movie is fine but like...Disney World needs some updating big time. I actually thought it looked really tired last time I went (I go every year more or less). None of the new movies are really represented in the park, which is a shame.

It looks like it's been in the works for awhile so hopefully the rest of the park gets a refresh. I'm not going to pay out the ass for a run-down park Disney.

I'm actually more concerned that they're reopening (Disney World is). It'll be a cold day in hell that I'd go to Disney during a pandemic but apparently some people are desperate. I'm not that obsessed with the mouse.

Anyways, since I'm not going to Disney anytime soon, lets talk about PopSugar. They announced that they're no longer going to do the boxes. This is bad news because I really enjoyed them (although good news...no more tassels). I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I might try a different lifestyle box or I might just decrease my subscription. My issue with many subscription boxes is that sometimes the items included are really not worth the value claimed. We shall see.

There's always a booklet included and the first part of the booklet includes a note from Lisa Sugar, creator of PopSugar. There's no theme but Lisa does talk about self-care, new you, etc. So I feel the products kinda fit into this range.

The first item are blue light blocking glasses from The Book Club. Whilst I wear glasses normally, I do wear contacts on occasion. If i'm having a long day in front of my computer screen, I'll wear blue-light blocking glasses. I'm not sure if it really helps me with migraines (what I originally bought some for) but it doesn't seem to be hurting.

There were four options and I picked the clear ones, titled "The Art of Snore." They're meant to limit eye strain (and blocks blue light by 30%). The listed cost was $40-50.

They have some cute styles on their website and since they're based in Australia, there's free/low shipping for Australia and New Zealand

I know there were some complaints about people who wore glasses (not contacts) or needed magnification. I do understand the frustration with that. I was super excited about their inclusion because I spend a ridiculous time on my tablet, computer and phone. I have a little extension that pops up and tells me to move my eyes away from the screen after so many minutes. Also, it might be worth talking to the eye doc about adding a film to glasses to help with that.

The second item is from Omorovicza. It's called the Magic Moisturize Mist. The cost of this was $95 (wow!). I like mists just fine but I haven't used this yet (I have one from Tony Moly I'm going through now). I don't have anything from Omorovicza so I'm glad to try this out.

I can't say much about this spray other than it's in a pretty bottle, but the booklet claims that it's not greasy so that's nice. I hope I don't fall in love with this, otherwise I'm going to have to get a second job to afford my champagne tastes.

This was a bit different for PopSugar. It's from Smudge Wellness and is their Glow Spell Crystal Set. Popsugar lists it for $50.

I'm very cynical and so to me, these are just pretty rocks. I can't speak for anyone who believes differently. I don't know enough about crystals/rocks in that manner. We received (from top to bottom) rose quartz, sodalite, amethyst, rainbow fluorite, and polished agate.

At the moment I have the rose quartz ball in it's holder on my desk next to a small globe. I have the smaller rocks still in the case. I'm not quite sure what to do with them yet. They could be little paper weights I guess. Or I could put them in my terrarium.

Glow Recipe's Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask is listed at $42. I know Glow Recipe is quite popular but I skipped their watermelon sleeping mask because I found the artificial smell quite overpowering. That was before the CGRP injection though. I haven't smelled this eye cream as of yet because it makes me nervous.

I don't think the fragrance is really that strong...I think my head is stupid.

I will give this one a try when I finish my current eye cream but if I can't deal with the smell I'll see if my friend wants it and if not...it's going to be some super expensive foot cream.

I do love the little spoons that come with these masks. I keep them in my bathroom for using with creams in jars so I'm not dipping my fingers in them.

The necklace was the annual tassel inclusion (although apparently there are more tassels in the summer box). While I normally don't enjoy the tassel options, I kinda like this one. I've decided to keep it although I haven't worn it yet. It's by Bluma Project and is called their Luna Necklace. The price listed is $75.

There were two color options, blue (lagoon) or cream (sand) to pick from but the website shows many other colors. I choose the blue colorway. There are three strands but the tassels are just in the middle (and hang over the third strand). I think it's actually going to look nice with my weekend outfits (jeans and a t-shirt).

The next item was a set of four bowls. They're from Canvas home and are their shell bisque cereal bowls. While not really my design style, I quite like them. They're sturdy and the color palette is really pretty. A set of four is listed for $72. After looking through the website, I'm not sure you can get the bowls in the multi-colored pack like below, they seem to only offer them in sets of one shade.

The extra items were tea and clorox wipes. The tea is from Yogi and is their blackberry apple cider digestive awakening tea. Which is quite a title. I added to my tea trolley as I'm quite a fan of tea in general. The tea is caffeine free, gluten free and vegan. I mean, it's tea.

The second item was from Clorox and is their new wipe item. It's called scentiva disinfecting wipes. I believe it joins their normal disinfecting wipes, but with different scents. I haven't used these as of yet because I have some that are being currently used. We received three of the four scent options.

Both items were welcome additions for the beginning of this quarantine for me.
